Annnnnddddd. Right on Protocol, GalGalatz started with the Memorial Day music...

The thing is - I love Memorial day songs above all others. It's sad to me that they are so tightly bound to Memorial Day, to grief and mourning

That was delicious !!! I purred in sheer joy. I can't describe how much. This episode was full of all the things that make this series work for me;

A good solid case. No crazy, logical things that are so full of hols you can fly a whole navy through. Without blinking;

I adore how the series is building Watson as a true and equal partner. She is no side kick, this girl. No, in this one it was she who solved the case; she who read Moriarty; she who saw what can be expected from her and how to counter it. That was pure joy to watch;

The dialog is solid and reliable ; the acting is superb. Take Moriarty-as-Irene, yes?

Now, Irene is played by Natalie Dormer (have a pic: Natalie )

Lovely, delicate looking woman, is she not? lovely and graceful.

Well. That was also how she played her character before her "real" identity was reviled. (also - kudos to myself - I figured out she is Moriarty before I read the spoilers.)

So, in this episode, when all is reveled and open - we she such a different woman I could hardly believe she is played by the same actress: All the delicacy is gone out of the window. She is not even pretty any more. It's more than knowing the truth about her. I knew that when we watched the previous episode, as I was spoiled already. But I still though her lovely than, in her appearance at least. As lovely as a crystal -but. (crystal are interesting in my opinion. They are lovely and beautiful, but may also be used as a deadly weapon.

But in this episode...she was repulsive, despite the fact that little was changed in her physical appearance. But instead of reminding me of crystals, she now reminds me of a dragon. And not a lovely Chinese one, like Kitten. No, that's an ultra cold dragon. Western,Nordic, maybe? Someone who does not see people as people - they are just game pieces on her giant board, to be moved and shoved for her amusement. And if some pieces are lost or broken along the way, so what? There are always more.

So, yeah. I delighted to watch the final dialog between her and Sherlock. That's something I will want to see and re-watch again and again for quite some time.

Also, I may be willing to move into the fandome now. I really think I'm interested to see how the fans interpreted the relationship between Sherlock and Moriarty, how are they translating it? will be every interesting to find out.

One side benefit: composing the above post helped me calm down some. I still pron to erupt and throw things/shout/bang table or self against wall, but the frequency is less. Also, I think that listening to music might help me survive this evening and maybe even get things done. Priority should be on the stupid greetings.
