This Song

is surprisingly sexist, and disturbing. And that fact that it reads like a children's song makes it worse. I actually flinched while listening to it.

I'm a tiny bit better than yesterday, but work is going very slowly still, and until I do not see a recovery in that one, I will not be at ease.

Night also was bad - I have an extreme sensitivity to shots, it appears. Even something tame like a Flu shot causes a rather massive swollenness, heat, redness and quite a bit of pain. So the pain made me wake up even more than usual.

Considering the above - I'm doing well. No Zombie state. No over stressing. Work is slow, yes, but not Nil like yesterday. So.

And G was extra Cute yesterday. Which is not easy for him:)

I arrived home and went to bed to rest. G, being my shadow, followed me to bed, hops up,lay on his back with all four paws in the air, and laid his head on my arm. Oh, does he knows to be adorable. To make it better, he had that expression of extreme contentment on his little face - eyes closed, purring mightily.

he lay that way for almost an hour, and by then, all my grumpiness was history. Who can be grumpy with a little cat snuggling to you like that?

Why, yes, I adore my cat, how did you notice?

* How old is that song? And it's Ariel Zilber. Plus, there's worse stuff being written today.

* Flu shots are not at all tame. Nope, sorry. If you'd've asked me in advance I would've told you that the best case scenario is an arm that's going to be painful, swollen and hot to the touch. Vaccines are always difficult on people with Interesting immune systems, and flu shots specifically have an above-normal risk profile.

I'm not at all sure it was the right call for you, frankly. You don't usually get flu, you get colds that go bad. The efficacy of those shots is quite low anyway, and you're not actually a risk group - but you are a risk group for vaccines in general, which I'm not sure your physician grasps. Bluntly, if all you got is some pain you got lucky.

(Telfast wouldn't have helped you anyway. If you ever get a bad reaction from immunization, go to a doctor immediately. With your medical history they should've kept you at the clinic for two hours for observation.)

(Can you tell I have horrible immunization response and bad memories? We found out I have a bad response on Hepatitis B, which is infamous for giving everyone bad responses. I got about as bad as it gets before they hospitalize you for it. The reputation of flu shots isn't as bad as Hep B but it's pretty damn bad nonetheless.)

Eh, no need to go to the ER for nothing short of a fever. I was unable to use my arm for a day once and it didn't even rate supervision, since the nurse trusted me to know the difference and demand a doc should I need one.

But yeah. If you still have symptoms today, then I think you're not doing this again.

Eh, you have appropriate meds on you now. If you get urticaria and you take loratadine/Telfast/similar, you should only go to a doctor is 2hr later it's still getting worse. (If 2hr later it's the same, it'll likely start fading around 4hr.)
