Weekend post
Good - for the most part. Much better than last Haifa weekend, that's certain.
Friday morning was really fun - we went to visit Anat, my oldest (and best) Haifa friend. One of my dearest friends. Two weeks ago was her birthday, so it was a good opportunity to cerebrate for the both of us.
We opted to meet at her house since she has a little girl, and invite Sushi. That was a good choice, since the baby is certainly in the Running stage (1.5 years old). She is adorable - blond curling hair,blue eyes, and a cherubic face with just enough mischief in them. She had me around her finger after 2 minutes flat. (Also, she has remarkable memory for names - she said our names after one single repeat from her mother).
Anat and Boaz are both unchanged. I always felt most comfortable with her. She is probably the only friend of mine who is not judging and is completely safe, and I adore her for it.
And also, I got for my birthday two books With comments ! Peter Pan and the Wizard of Oz! I love books with comments, so it's a perfect gift .
Than we went home and crashed for a few hour's rest, before dinner with![[profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
antongaru's family. Some cousins from the States came for a visit. We went down to the beach, and ate in a Middle Eastern restaurant, right there on the sand-line. They had room only outside, so it was somewhat hot - 29 C even at that hour. However, there was some wind from the sea, and I was very very careful - drank a whole lot even while not thirsty so as not to dehydrate. That worked well (and proved I will be able to handle myself next week). However, when after two+ hours the parents didn't show any sign of going home, we cut out (at my request) and took a taxi home. I was getting tired, and wanted to store up energy for the family meeting with my family, which is much more demanding. And it was very good we did so. (post about that is not safe enough to be under Unlocked, so it's for later).
